What about you will draw a roomful of people to your memorial service? Will it be your sameness and your safe passage through life? Or will people flock to remember you because you were exceptional AND because you made them believe that they too could be exceptional?
I spent a hour this morning gathered with many others to celebrate the life of an exceptional person, Jim Ball. Former colleagues from 30 years ago stood to speak and you could hear in their voices that to them it was but moments ago that they were working side by side with Jim, so lasting was his impact upon them. People he had inspired and mentored more recently were in awe of their luck to have met him just when they needed him.
His long time business partner described his answer to the question "what is the meaning of life?" Jim Ball believed that the meaning of life was found in the word itself:
L is for love; I is for individual; F is for fun; and E is for eternity.
To all my readers everywhere, no matter what your daily occupation and your worries or needs, I urge you to remember this meaning of LIFE and to fulfill it. You'll be spreading yet more seeds of success in honor of Jim Ball.
What a heartfelt response...you really honor the man...
